On April 26, the "Guangxi New Energy Vehicle High-End Aluminum Alloy Components Innovation Consortium," led by SAIC-GM-Wuling, was officially inaugurated. The consortium has already established the Guangxi Pan-Aluminum Advanced Manufacturing Base in Laibin City, where key components such as steering knuckles and housing parts have entered mass production. According to its roadmap, by 2030, the consortium aims to achieve localized substitution for eight categories of critical components and reach 100% local sourcing of key materials.
