At the Beijing International Auto Show opening on April 24, 2026, XPeng AeroHT unveiled its modular flying car, the "Land Aircraft Carrier." On the third day of the show alone, it received over 90 orders in a single day. Visitors at the booth could experience an immersive VR flight simulation and watch live demonstrations of the aircraft detaching from and reattaching to its ground vehicle. According to information released at a prior launch event, the Land Aircraft Carrier has already accumulated 7,000 pre-sale orders and is scheduled to begin mass production within 2026. Marketed as the world’s first mass-produced modular flying car, it is priced under RMB 2 million. The ground vehicle is a three-axle, six-wheel, all-wheel-drive, full-terrain large SUV equipped with an aviation-grade range extender. The aircraft component can be fully stowed inside the SUV’s trunk and features vertical takeoff and landing capabilities, combining safety, stability, and lightweight design for low-altitude urban air mobility.
