Huawei's Qiankun Smart Automotive Solution has recently launched a new digital key feature that allows users to control the vehicle’s front and rear trunks by shaking their smartphones: shaking the phone with the screen facing upward opens or closes the front trunk, while shaking it with the screen facing downward operates the rear trunk. This functionality is enabled by Huawei Qiankun’s cloud-vehicle integration platform and supports seamless, precise recognition for automatic locking. At the 2026 (19th) Beijing International Automotive Exhibition, which opened on April 24, over 20 vehicle series showcased smart models equipped with NearLink digital car keys, spanning domestic brands, new-energy startups, and joint ventures—including Dongfeng, BAIC, SAIC, JAC, Seres, Avatr, and GAC Toyota. According to the NearLink Alliance, by 2026, the cumulative production volume of vehicles featuring NearLink digital key solutions is expected to exceed one million units.
