On April 24, Hon Hai Precision Industry announced that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Mitsubishi Electric Corporation to conduct a feasibility assessment of a strategic alliance regarding a joint operating model for automotive equipment businesses. As part of this MoU, the two parties will also evaluate a proposal involving the transfer of a 50% equity stake in Mitsubishi Electric Automotive to Hon Hai. The finalization of this collaboration is contingent upon the parties reaching agreement on commercial terms. Specific details of the cooperation will be subject to further negotiations, execution of definitive agreements, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations as well as requirements of relevant regulatory authorities.
