Huawei's Zhijie R7 and S7 Unveiled: 0.217 Cd, 800V Platform, and Global Expansion Grab Attention

The Huawei AITO R7 and S7 have drawn widespread attention thanks to their low-drag aerodynamic design and 800V high-voltage electric drive technology. Verified by China Automotive Technology & Research Center (CATARC), the AITO R7 achieves a drag coefficient of 0.217—the lowest among all mass-produced SUVs globally—and ranked first in the J.D. Power Initial Quality Study for midsize premium battery-electric SUVs. The AITO R7 features the brand’s signature design language, highlighted by willow-leaf-shaped headlights, a full-width LED light bar, a pronounced fastback roofline, and flush door handles. Inside, it boasts a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 15.6-inch central touchscreen. The front seats are zero-gravity seats, and the cabin adopts an eco-friendly yacht-inspired design. The R7 is offered in both extended-range and pure electric variants: the extended-range version uses a 1.5T range extender with CLTC-rated pure electric ranges of 251 km, 331 km, and 360 km, respectively; the pure electric variant is built on Huawei’s "Giant Whale" 800V high-voltage battery platform, delivering CLTC ranges of 667 km, 802 km, and 736 km. Preparations for its overseas launch are already underway, with ongoing discussions with international dealers. The AITO S7 features a full-width LED light bar, flush door handles, and Brembo brake calipers, complemented by sleek, flowing body lines. Its interior adopts a two-tone design, with both the dashboard and center console wrapped in premium leather. Powered by the same Huawei "Giant Whale" 800V high-voltage battery platform, the S7 offers a single-motor version with a maximum output of 215 kW and a dual-motor version peaking at 365 kW. CLTC-rated pure electric ranges stand at 705 km, 855 km, 785 km, and 703 km, depending on the configuration.
