Unisoc and Huayang General Launch Next-Gen AI Cockpit Platform Powered by A8880 Chip

On April 24, 2025, at the 2026 (19th) Beijing International Automotive Exhibition, Unisoc and Huayang General jointly unveiled a new-generation AI cockpit platform powered by the A8880 chip. The A8880 is Unisoc’s flagship intelligent cockpit chip platform, launched in April 2025, featuring an all-big-core Arm architecture. It delivers a 3x improvement in CPU performance, a 6x boost in GPU graphics performance, and an 8x increase in both dedicated NPU AI computing power and audio DSP performance compared to its predecessor. Through deep collaboration, the two companies have achieved efficient integration between the chip and mature solutions, establishing a complete end-to-end closed loop from chip-level foundations to mass vehicle production. Leveraging its high computing power and native architecture, the platform supports efficient on-device execution of large AI models.
