On April 24, 2026, the Beijing International Auto Show opened, marking the debut appearance of YiJing—a premium new energy vehicle brand co-developed by Dongfeng Motor and Huawei Qiankun. At the event, YiJing globally unveiled its first large six-seater SUV, the YiJing X9. The YiJing X9 introduces an industry-first rear-seat ceiling-mounted soft-light display screen, installed above the front seats for rear passengers. This screen delivers clear visibility even under strong sunlight without glare and is complemented by a panoramic sunroof featuring a physical sunshade. The vehicle debuts with Huawei Qiankun’s ADS 5 intelligent driving system and comes standard across all trims with dual-path, image-grade 896-line LiDAR, offering hardware and software redundancy capable of supporting Level 3 autonomous driving. The cabin features Harmony Space 6, powered by Huawei’s HarmonyOS. Up front, twin 17.2-inch “Butterfly Wing” displays support independent NFC interaction on both screens and integrate the HUAWEI XSCENE in-car laser projection system for immersive, multi-mode cinematic experiences. Additionally, the XiaoYi AI agent and AI multimodal perception system are onboard, enabling features such as pinch-protection and child-left-behind alerts. Underpinning the X9 is the Chitu platform, built upon Huawei’s XMC Qiankun Digital Chassis Engine, featuring an all-aluminum structure fine-tuned with input from European engineering teams. For safety, the vehicle is equipped with Huawei Qiankun CAS 5.0, a comprehensive safety system, and utilizes ultra-high-strength hot-stamped steel rated at 2,400 MPa in the body structure. The battery pack incorporates a triple-layer armor design equivalent to bulletproof standards. Measuring 5,301 mm in length, 2,015 mm in width, and with a wheelbase of 3,120 mm, the YiJing X9 stands out as one of the few flagship six-seater SUVs exceeding 5.3 meters in length currently on the market. It is expected to be priced at approximately RMB 500,000. Over the next three years, the YiJing brand plans to launch five new models to establish a complete premium product portfolio. To date, YiJing has established sales networks in 80 cities nationwide and plans to open more than 300 “YiJing Home” experience stores—80% of which will be conversions or rebrandings of former BBA (BMW, Benz, Audi) dealerships—with top-100 national dealers accounting for 60% of its network.
