The Subaru WRX tS (Tuned by STI) has officially launched in the Chinese market with a manufacturer's suggested retail price of RMB 394,800. Deliveries to customers are expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026. The WRX tS retains the signature hexagonal grille of the WRX family and features an intercooler air intake on the hood. It is equipped with exclusive 19-inch aluminum alloy wheels and a Brembo high-performance braking system (six-piston calipers at the front, two-piston at the rear). A large fixed rear spoiler—distinguishing the tS variant from the standard WRX—works in tandem with front air ducts to optimize aerodynamic performance. The initial launch offers three exterior color options: New Rally Blue, Light Graphite Gray, and Ceramic White. Under the hood, the WRX tS is powered by a 2.4-liter turbocharged horizontally opposed four-cylinder engine, producing 275 horsepower and 350 N·m of peak torque. Power is sent to all four wheels via a standard 6-speed manual transmission and Subaru’s Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system. Tuned by Subaru Tecnica International (STI), the vehicle features electronically controlled dampers that dynamically adjust damping force based on road conditions and driving modes. Inside, the cabin is fitted with RECARO high-performance bucket seats adorned with STI branding and upholstered in Ultrasuede material. A vertically oriented 11.6-inch touchscreen anchors the center console, supporting wireless Apple CarPlay. Additional features include a Harman Kardon premium audio system and Subaru’s EyeSight driver-assist technology suite, which includes adaptive cruise control and lane departure warning. For after-sales service, the vehicle comes with a 3-year or 60,000-kilometer (whichever comes first) comprehensive warranty and a 2-year or 50,000-kilometer statutory warranty coverage.
