In its "15th Five-Year Plan Outline for National Economic and Social Development," Guangdong Province announced it will intensify support for trade-in programs for major durable consumer goods such as automobiles and home appliances, implementing a model combining "government subsidies + corporate discounts + financial empowerment." The plan explicitly states that Guangdong will continue to carry out consumption-boosting policies like "Guangdong Premium Purchases," enforce measures for vehicle replacement and scrappage incentives, encourage eligible cities to issue subsidies for new car purchases, and expand aftermarket consumption in areas such as vehicle modification and leasing. Additionally, the province will accelerate the development of recycling systems for automobiles, electronics, home appliances, and furniture. Regarding housing, Guangdong will actively yet prudently advance a new model for urban village redevelopment and increase the supply of affordable housing to better meet housing consumption demands.
