On April 27, the 2026 Geely Radar RD6 EV made its official market debut at the Beijing Auto Show, with a starting price of RMB 119,800. Positioned as a globally oriented dual-purpose (personal and commercial) all-electric smart pickup truck, it is equipped with a high-performance electric powertrain delivering a maximum output of 280 kW and peak torque of 485 N·m—approximately double the performance of a conventional 2.4L turbo-diesel pickup—and features a designed payload capacity exceeding 1,300 kg. The vehicle debuts with Geely’s FlymeAuto intelligent cockpit system and comes standard across all trims with a 14.6-inch high-definition central touchscreen. It also features an intelligent electric four-wheel-drive system capable of delivering torque response within 20 milliseconds and offers three off-road traction modes: Off-Road, Snow, and Mud. The battery pack is encased in a 10.5 mm-thick high-strength shell, meeting the battery protection standards of off-road SUVs, and is backed by a lifetime warranty on the core electric components (battery, motor, and power electronics), with no mileage or time limitations. Additionally, the RD6 supports a maximum 36 kW vehicle-to-load (V2L) external power supply function. Combined with Geely’s proprietary solar charging equipment, portable energy storage units, and drone direct-charging devices, it enables a new energy ecosystem centered around the electric pickup truck—ideal for outdoor power applications. Operating costs are approximately one-eighth those of conventional fuel-powered generators, with the added benefits of silent operation and zero tailpipe emissions.
