On April 28, 2026, the all-new GAC Trumpchi E8 PHEV made its global debut at the 2026 Beijing International Auto Show and opened for pre-orders, with market launch scheduled for June at a price of approximately RMB 200,000. The new model features comprehensive upgrades in design, driving dynamics, comfort, and powertrain technology. Exterior styling adopts a fresh design language, highlighted by full-width LED daytime running lights, illuminated brand emblems, and a blacked-out parametric grille. With dimensions of 5,000 mm (length) × 1,900 mm (width) × 1,778 mm (height) and a 3,000 mm wheelbase, the vehicle is equipped with power-sliding side doors and offers a maximum cargo capacity of 1,917 liters. Inside, the cabin features a 2+2+3 seven-seat configuration supporting 18 seating layout combinations. The second row is fitted with dual zero-gravity seats offering ventilation, heating, and massage functions. Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chip and ADiGO 6.0 intelligent system, the cockpit supports fully offline voice recognition and multi-zone voice interaction. Additional amenities include a four-screen interactive setup, a 22-speaker audio system, tri-zone automatic climate control, and a refrigerated/warmed center console box. For intelligent driving, the E8 PHEV integrates LiDAR sensors and Momenta’s R6 large AI model to deliver L2++ advanced driver assistance, enabling urban NOA (Navigate on Autopilot) without high-definition maps and full-scenario automated parking. The chassis features SDC electromagnetic dampers and a rear multi-link independent suspension, enhancing both ride stability and comfort. Built on GAC’s fourth-generation GPMA architecture, the body employs a 7x6 cross-braced cage structure to reinforce passive safety. The powertrain utilizes GAC’s “Stellar Hybrid” plug-in hybrid technology, combining a 1.5T engine with an electric motor. It achieves a WLTC-equivalent fuel consumption of just 3.98 L/100 km under low-battery conditions, delivers 281 km of pure electric range, and boasts a total combined range of 1,537 km. The vehicle is equipped with a 38.88 kWh “Battery Armor 3.0” pack, supporting 110 kW fast charging (30%–80% in only 15 minutes), as well as 6 kW vehicle-to-load (V2L) and vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) power supply capabilities.
