At the 2024 Beijing Auto Show, Dongfeng Motor and Huawei's Intelligent Automotive Solution Business Unit (BU) jointly unveiled the first model, the X9, under their new premium brand Yijing. Positioned as a full-size SUV with a body length of approximately 5.3 meters, the Yijing X9 is priced above RMB 500,000. It features Huawei’s Qiankun ADS 5 intelligent driving system and adopts a six-seat layout, aiming to balance spaciousness with driving convenience. As the debut product of the Yijing brand, the X9 carries the critical tasks of establishing the brand’s image, validating its product capabilities and the effectiveness of Huawei’s technological integration, and testing channel conversion efficiency. The vehicle directly enters the highly competitive premium full-size SUV segment, specifically targeting the six-seat sub-segment, which still holds growth potential. Dongfeng and Huawei have pooled resources into the Yijing brand across R&D, manufacturing, and channel development. Yijing is building its sales network according to premium-brand standards, and its market performance will directly determine whether the brand can firmly establish itself in the RMB 500,000+ price segment.
