On April 29, the world’s first second-generation Denza D9 was officially delivered to its first owner, jewelry designer Wan Baobao. The vehicle launched on April 27 and is available in both all-electric and plug-in hybrid variants, with six trim levels priced between RMB 359,800 and RMB 469,800. Built on a dedicated new platform for hybrid MPVs, the new model features upgrades in exterior design, interior appointments, and powertrain systems. The all-electric version offers a maximum CLTC range of 800 km, while the plug-in hybrid variant achieves a CLTC all-electric range of 401 km—the longest among plug-in hybrid MPVs priced above RMB 400,000. All trims are equipped with second-generation Blade Batteries and support flash charging: charging from 10% to 70% takes just 5 minutes, and reaching 97% requires only 9 minutes. In terms of intelligent features, the new D9 comes with a next-generation AI-powered smart cockpit, supporting functions such as AI-based facial recognition welcome, fuzzy voice command recognition, NFC control of second-row seats, and Bluetooth-based keyless entry. Standard across all models are the "Eyes of God" 5.0 advanced driver-assistance system, dual-valve Cloud-Nimble C suspension, and an intelligent anti-motion-sickness system. Powertrain specifications include a 340 kW motor for the front-wheel-drive all-electric version, and a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup combining a 340 kW front motor with a 70 kW rear motor, delivering CLTC ranges of 750 km and 800 km respectively. The plug-in hybrid variant features a 1.5T engine paired with dual electric motors—delivering 115 kW from the engine, 200 kW from the front motor, and 45 kW from the rear motor—and is mated to a 66.5 kWh second-generation Blade Battery, achieving a fuel consumption of 6.35 L/100 km under low-battery conditions.
