In the first quarter of 2026, SAIC Motor achieved wholesale sales of 973,000 vehicles, up 3% year-on-year, making it the only Chinese automaker to surpass one million units in retail sales during the quarter. The company reported revenue of RMB 138.52 billion, an increase of 0.61% year-on-year; net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company reached RMB 3.03 billion, up 0.09% year-on-year; and net cash flow from operating activities amounted to RMB 31.99 billion, surging 699.67% year-on-year. By brand, SAIC Passenger Vehicle sales rose 40.4% year-on-year, IM Motors sales jumped 96.9%, and MAXUS sales increased by 14.3%. In terms of models, the MG4 surpassed 10,000 cumulative sales within six months of its launch; the IM LS8 received over 8,000 orders within one hour of its debut; and the Shangjie Z7 secured 12,000 pre-orders in just 27 minutes after launch. Overseas, SAIC Motor exported and sold 325,000 vehicles in the first quarter, up 48.3% year-on-year, including 90,000 units in the European market, a 20% increase year-on-year. At the Beijing International Automotive Exhibition, which opened on April 24, 2026, SAIC Motor participated under the theme “Understanding Cars, Understanding You,” showcasing more than 100 vehicles across over 10 of its brands and unveiling more than 10 new models making their global or China debut. These include the Roewe Jia Yue 07 concept car, the 2026 MG4, IM LS8, Shangjie Z7, SAIC Volkswagen ID. ERA 9X, Audi E7X, Buick Zhi Jing E7, Wuling Hua Jing S, and Wuling Xing Guang L—highlighting its latest intelligent electric vehicle offerings.
