Recently, the Zeekr 7X, a domestically produced midsize all-electric SUV, successfully completed the world’s first high-speed rear-end collision test at 105 km/h in the midsize SUV segment in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, earning a five-star safety rating. This test speed exceeds the U.S. standard requirement of an 84 km/h rear impact combined with a 32 km/h side pole impact scenario. Test results showed that the passenger compartment maintained structural integrity, rescue functions operated normally, the powertrain remained stable, the high-voltage system exhibited no abnormalities, and all occupant protection metrics met safety requirements. Built on Geely’s Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA), the Zeekr 7X is positioned as a premium five-seater family SUV. It measures 4,825 mm in length, 1,930 mm in width, and 1,666 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,925 mm, featuring a short front overhang and long wheelbase design. The vehicle is available in both rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive configurations, with the AWD version delivering a combined output of 585 kW and accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.98 seconds. Equipped with a 900V high-voltage platform and a large-capacity battery pack, the Zeekr 7X achieves a maximum CLTC range of 802 km and supports ultra-fast charging—replenishing from 10% to 80% state of charge in under 10 minutes. The suspension system features a double-wishbone front setup and a five-link independent rear suspension; higher trims add air suspension and an adaptive damping control system dubbed “Magic Carpet.” The vehicle achieves a 100–0 km/h braking distance of 34.9 meters.
