Dongfeng Peugeot-Citroën Automobile (DPCA) recently reaffirmed its commitment to preserving the French brand DNA and pursuing a “small yet beautiful, refined yet specialized” development path. The company will not set an annual sales target of one million units nor chase homogenized product configurations. Instead, DPCA emphasized its focus on crafting vehicles imbued with French flair and distinctive driving dynamics, delivering personalized driving experiences to meet diverse customer needs. Technologically, DPCA’s next-generation platform will be co-developed through a tripartite collaboration, integrating Dongfeng Motor’s mature vehicle architecture, Stellantis Group’s platform development expertise, and capabilities in adapting to overseas regulatory requirements, thereby creating a shared platform tailored for global markets. In terms of intelligent technologies, the company aims to deliver “personalized driving experiences tailored to each individual,” rather than adopting a one-size-fits-all intelligent driving solution. Meanwhile, DPCA will fully retain its core French chassis tuning expertise, and dedicated technical teams have already initiated focused exchanges on this front. Regarding market expansion, DPCA continues to grow its global export business. Multiple models produced at its Chengdu plant have long been supplied to Southeast Asian markets, and the C5 X Versailles has laid the groundwork for global adaptation. The global CEO of Peugeot stated that China has become a crucial pillar of Peugeot’s global strategy, and DPCA’s future new products will be incorporated into Peugeot’s unified global planning—developed concurrently and aligned with global standards.
