Lamborghini announced that Feiming Song will officially step down as CEO of the Audi-SAIC joint venture project on July 1, 2026, and assume the role of Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Automobili Lamborghini, overseeing the brand’s R&D, motorsport activities, and technology strategy. Song joined Audi in 1998 and brings nearly 30 years of experience in the automotive industry. He has served as CEO of the Audi-SAIC joint venture project since March 2024. During his tenure, the joint venture unveiled its new premium intelligent electric vehicle brand “AUDI” in November 2024. In September 2025, the first production model—the Audi E5 Sportback—launched to market, receiving over 10,000 orders within 30 minutes. By April 2026, cumulative sales had surpassed 10,000 units. Additionally, Audi and SAIC signed an agreement to deepen their collaboration, establishing the Audi Innovation Technology Center. The project’s second model, the Audi E7X, is scheduled for launch within 2026, followed by a high-end sports sedan expected to debut in 2027.
