SAIC Motor sold over 1.3 million new vehicles from January to April 2026, including 328,000 units in April alone, marking its fourth consecutive month as China’s top-selling automaker. In the first four months of 2026, SAIC’s self-owned brands recorded sales of 910,000 vehicles, up 6.9% year-on-year; new energy vehicle (NEV) sales reached 412,000 units, an increase of 2.8% year-on-year; and overseas sales totaled 459,000 units, surging 50.2% year-on-year. For the full year of 2025, SAIC Motor delivered 4.507 million vehicles, a 12.3% year-on-year increase. NEV sales hit a record high of 1.643 million units, up 33.1% year-on-year, while self-owned brand sales reached 2.928 million units, rising 21.6% year-on-year and accounting for 65% of the group’s total sales.
