At SID Display Week 2026 in Los Angeles, LG Display showcased a range of OLED display technologies, including its newly unveiled third-generation Tandem OLED technology platform. This platform reduces power consumption by 18% and doubles lifespan compared to previous generations. Its first product is an automotive display panel delivering 1,200 nits of brightness and exceeding 15,000 hours of operational life at room temperature. LG Display plans to begin mass production of the automotive version within the year, followed by expansion into IT and other application areas. Also on display were LG Display’s P-OLED humanoid robot display solution, a 57-inch pillar-to-pillar (P2P) automotive panel, and a 32-inch slidable OLED panel. In monitor products, the company introduced a 5K-resolution RGB stripe subpixel OLED panel with a pixel density of 220 PPI—offering significantly sharper detail than its previously launched 27-inch UHD 240Hz panel (160 PPI). Additionally, LG Display presented a 16-inch Tandem OLED notebook display specifically designed for AI PCs. This panel is thinner, lighter, and more energy-efficient than conventional OLED displays, extending battery life by 2.3 hours.
