Harmony Intelligent Mobility has issued a statement regarding viral online videos about the "zero-gravity" seats of the Luxeed S9, clarifying that technical verification confirmed the scenarios shown in the videos did not reach the activation threshold of the seat's anti-pinch function. The second-row zero-gravity seats on this model are equipped with an anti-pinch feature that continuously monitors force changes in real time and immediately halts movement and retracts for protection once the preset threshold is reached. The company also explained that the zero-gravity seat design incorporates multiple safety mechanisms: the front passenger seat will not fold if it detects occupancy or if the seatbelt is buckled; when activating zero-gravity mode via voice command, the system prompts the user to confirm the safety of passengers and objects; and pressing a physical button during deployment instantly stops the motion. Currently, relevant user feedback has been incorporated into a dedicated product optimization program.
