A regulatory filing submitted by Tesla on April 30 revealed that the company disclosed Elon Musk's total compensation for 2025 as $158.36 billion—approximately 2.5 million times the median pay of a typical employee. The filing also noted that this reported compensation figure could differ significantly from the actual amount he receives. Since Tesla failed to meet any of its market capitalization- or operational performance-based targets in the previous fiscal year, Musk received zero compensation in 2024.
