Valeo Upgrades Smart Safety 360 with Highway Pilot Assist

On April 24, 2026, at the Beijing International Auto Show, Valeo announced a significant functional expansion of its Valeo Smart Safety 360 (VSS360) system. The system uses an intelligent front-facing camera as a central computing platform to support the operation of other ADAS sensors, reducing reliance on multiple electronic control units (ECUs). With this upgrade, VSS360 now features Navigation on Autopilot (NOA), enabling autonomous driving along a navigation route under driver supervision. VSS360 is a scalable and cost-optimized ADAS solution with robust sensor fusion capabilities and easy integration into existing vehicle architectures. Built on mature computer vision technology, the system emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance, and driving comfort, aiming to bring advanced autonomous driving features to the mass market—including entry-level vehicles.
