Lexus has announced that its flagship all-electric SUV, the TZ, will launch in Japan and North America this winter. Measuring 5,100 mm in length, 1,990 mm in width, and 1,705 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,050 mm, the vehicle features a closed-off grille, lightning-shaped headlights, blacked-out D-pillars for a floating roof effect, and a full-width LED taillight strip with an illuminated logo at the rear. The interior embraces an Eastern luxury aesthetic, accented with forged bamboo trim sourced from Shikoku Island. Depending on the trim level, the front cabin is equipped either with a large integrated dual-screen setup or a floating center display. Standard features include a head-up display (HUD), a digital instrument cluster, and a multifunction steering wheel. Additional amenities comprise an ambient fragrance system, a 21-speaker audio system, six Japanese-inspired ambient lighting themes, and an engine sound simulation system that replicates the iconic roar of the LFA’s V10 engine. The TZ offers a 2+2+2 six-seat configuration with individual seats throughout. All seats feature heating, while ventilation is available for both the front and second-row seats. The second row is fitted with zero-gravity seats for enhanced comfort. Powering the vehicle is a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system delivering a maximum output of 300 kW, enabling a 0–100 km/h acceleration time of 5.4 seconds. It is equipped with a 95.82 kWh battery pack, offering a CLTC-rated range of up to 640 km and supporting fast charging—replenishing from 10% to 80% state of charge in approximately 35 minutes.
