SAIC Volkswagen ID. ERA 5S PHEV Sedan with Urban NOA to Be Filed with MIIT

SAIC Volkswagen has announced that the second model in its ID. ERA series, the ID. ERA 5S, will soon debut. The vehicle is Volkswagen’s first plug-in hybrid intelligent family sedan and also the brand’s first globally launched sedan equipped with urban NOA (Navigate on Autopilot) advanced intelligent driving capabilities. The new model will come standard with the “Xingyun SmartDrive” advanced driver-assistance system and the “Yunqi Smart Cabin” intelligent cockpit, claiming intelligence performance on par with the industry’s leading tier. Featuring a fastback design, the car adopts a sporty coupe styling and includes distinctive “blue indicator lights” on the side mirrors to signify its intelligent driving functions.
