Xiaomi Auto recently underwent a leadership reshuffle, appointing Yu Liguo, Vice President of the Automotive Division, as head of the Overseas Business Preparation Task Force. In this role, he will report directly to both Lei Jun, CEO of Xiaomi Group and President of the Automotive Division, and Lu Weibing, President of Xiaomi Group. Yu Liguo previously served as President of BAIC Arcfox Business Unit before joining Xiaomi Auto in January 2022 as Vice President and Head of Political Affairs at the Beijing headquarters, overseeing comprehensive management, key business initiatives, and organizational talent development. In August of the same year, he additionally assumed the role of General Manager of the Product Department, leading product definition and product line management. Starting in 2025, he has been responsible for the Intelligent Manufacturing Department, factories, and Systems Operations Department. Currently, Xiaomi Auto is accelerating its global expansion, planning to launch overseas operations in the second half of 2027, with Europe as its first market, followed by entry into right-hand-drive markets in the first half of 2028.
