LeDao Auto announced that its flagship intelligent two-row, five-seat SUV—the LeDao L80—will officially launch on May 15. The vehicle’s pre-sale starting price is RMB 245,800; with the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) battery leasing option, the starting price drops to RMB 159,800. Built upon NIO’s 11 years of expertise in smart electric vehicle technology, the L80 integrates NIO’s self-developed intelligent systems. It measures 5,145 mm long, 1,998 mm wide, and 1,786 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 3,110 mm. The L80 features a two-row, five-seat layout, eliminating the third row to maximize passenger comfort and cargo space, delivering a usable longitudinal interior length of 4,195 mm. It comes equipped with a 240-liter electric front trunk and a 1,200-liter rear cargo area, expandable to 2,600 liters when the second-row seats are folded down. Inside, the cabin features a four-screen setup across all seating positions, including a standard 17.2-inch 3K central touchscreen and an AR-HUD. All four seats offer ventilation, massage, and extensive heating functions. Additional amenities include silent electric soft-close doors on all four doors, an 8.8-liter intelligent climate-controlled console box, tri-zone climate control, and child- and infant-friendly technologies. The intelligent system is offered in two versions: Coconut and Coconut+. Both run on SkyOS·Tianshu, NIO’s full-domain vehicle operating system. The high-end Coconut+ variant features the world’s first 5nm autonomous driving chip—Shenji NX9031—alongside NIO’s World Model AI and 30 high-performance sensors. The AI assistant “Xiao Le” supports four high-frequency scenarios, including driving and parenting. Powering the L80 is a 925V high-performance electric drive system. The rear-wheel-drive version achieves an energy consumption as low as 14.3 kWh per 100 km, while the all-wheel-drive variant accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds. With a lightweight coefficient of 2.12, the L80 weighs approximately 300 kg less than comparable models. Its chassis supports 4D Comfort Navigation and an Intelligent Wet Surface Control system. All variants come standard with battery swap capability, granting access to NIO’s network of over 8,000 battery swap and charging stations.
