As of May 6, 2026, BYD has built 5,924 Flash Charge stations, with a cumulative charging volume exceeding 21 million kWh, and the number of users on its Flash Charge app has surpassed one million. In March this year, BYD launched a Flash Charger with a single-gun maximum output of 1,500 kW. Featuring a rail-mounted, suspended T-shaped structure, the charger keeps the charging gun and cable suspended in the air to prevent tangling and dragging on the ground. Its zero-gravity charging gun design enables one-handed operation, while the sliding rail system moves left and right to accommodate charging ports in different positions. After linking their vehicles via the Flash Charge app, users can simply plug in and start charging immediately. BYD is also advancing its "Flash Charge China" strategy, aiming to build a total of 20,000 Flash Charge stations by the end of 2026, including 18,000 urban stations and 2,000 highway stations.
