SAIC Volkswagen and UCAR have signed an annual framework procurement agreement, with the first batch of vehicles already delivered. The delivered models include the Lavida XR, Passat, Tharu XR, Teramont Pro, and Audi E5 Sportback. Under the agreement, the two parties will collaborate in areas such as operational support, vehicle-infotainment system integration, and shared service resources to streamline the entire vehicle lifecycle management chain, enhance fleet dispatching and maintenance efficiency, and promote the integration of in-vehicle technology with car rental service systems. SAIC Volkswagen plans to launch seven new energy vehicle models this year, covering battery electric, range-extended, and plug-in hybrid variants. Among them, the range-extended SUV ID. ERA 9X was launched on April 25, while the Passat ePro and Tiguan L ePro plug-in hybrid models are scheduled for market release by the end of May.
