Xiaomi Auto has recently launched its "OTA Early Access Recruitment Program," open exclusively to owners of the first-generation Xiaomi SU7, YU7, and SU7 Ultra models. Users can sign up voluntarily, with each recruitment round allocating a fixed number of slots per model on a first-come, first-served basis until full. For example, the HyperOS 1.16.0 update offers a total of 24,000 slots, with approximately 2,000 to 3,500 spots available per model. Users who successfully register and meet the eligibility criteria will receive priority OTA update delivery as early access testers. This recruitment applies only to the current version; new versions will require separate registration. The OTA announcement also includes detailed information about the "25-speaker premium audio system" featured in the new-generation Xiaomi SU7. The system comprises five tweeters, five midrange drivers, four woofers, one subwoofer, four overhead speakers, four surround speakers, and two headrest speakers, supporting 7.1.4-channel Dolby Atmos. It is compatible with Dolby content from platforms such as NetEase Cloud Music, QQ Music, and iQiyi. Compared to the standard 14-speaker setup, this system offers significant upgrades in speaker count, driver quality, and overall audio experience. Midrange, woofer, subwoofer, and surround speakers all utilize high-end PSS drivers, paired with Xiaomi’s proprietary tuning algorithms. Additionally, the system enhances karaoke reverb effects for microphone-free singing and introduces a new "Sport Sound" feature that delivers low-latency, immersive audio when activated in Sport or Sport+ driving modes. Furthermore, Xiaomi Auto introduced its "Xiaomi Elite Driving" training program, which consists of two tracks: racing license training and advanced driving training. The National Grade B racing license course is led by coaches certified by the China Automobile and Motorcycle Sports Federation (CAMF), covering both theoretical and practical track training. Upon successful completion and passing the assessment, participants receive a National Grade B racing license, qualifying them to enter sanctioned motorsport events and enabling progression to higher-level licenses based on performance. The advanced driving training focuses on enhancing everyday driving skills, including emergency evasion maneuvers and vehicle handling experiences.
