BYD's Fangchengbao brand announced that the Bao 8 and the Bao 5 Flash Charging Edition will officially launch on May 13 at 19:00. Positioned as "premium plug-in hybrid off-road SUVs with flash charging capability," both models are equipped with BYD's advanced Yunyang-P Ultra system. Earlier this March, BYD unveiled its flash charging station featuring a single-gun charging power of up to 1,500 kW and launched the "Flash Charge China" initiative, aiming to build 20,000 flash charging stations nationwide by the end of 2024. At the same time, BYD also introduced the Fangchengbao Ti 3 Flash Charging Edition and the Ti 7 EV Flash Charging Edition, with starting prices of RMB 153,800 and RMB 199,800, respectively.
