On May 9, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) published the application details for XPeng's new G9L model in the 407th batch of the "Announcement on Road Motor Vehicle Manufacturers and Products." Positioned as a mid-to-large-sized all-electric SUV, the G9L measures 5,120 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width, and 1,782/1,788/1,795 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,100 mm. The XPeng G9L will be offered in both all-electric and extended-range variants and comes standard across all trims with dual-chamber air suspension, a 5C battery, and an 800V high-voltage architecture. The model will be available in three versions: Max, Ultra SE, and Ultra. The Max variant features one Turing AI chip, while the Ultra SE and Ultra variants support second-generation VLA technology. The starting price is RMB 248,800.
