The Buick Zhi Jing L7 EV has appeared in the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's (MIIT) 407th batch of the "Announcement on Road Motor Vehicle Manufacturers and Products." The vehicle retains the exterior design of the current model, featuring Buick’s "Aquatic Aesthetics" design language, a closed-off front grille, Galaxy Starry Sky wing-shaped headlights, and an automatically opening/closing active grille. The side profile showcases a fastback silhouette with sharp character lines and flush door handles. At the rear, it features a full-width light bar with matrix-style dynamic lighting effects and integrates a small blue indicator light to signal intelligent driving status. The vehicle measures 5,032 mm in length, 1,952 mm in width, and 1,500 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,000 mm—identical to the range-extended version. Powering the EV is an electric motor delivering a maximum output of 282 kW. While the official range and battery capacity have not yet been disclosed, the model is expected to come standard across the lineup with an 800V high-voltage architecture, 6C ultra-fast charging technology, and CATL-supplied battery cells. The vehicle made its debut earlier at the 2026 Beijing Auto Show, and Buick has announced that it will officially launch in July this year.
