On May 8, Audi officially launched the pre-sale of its E7X model, priced between RMB 289,800 and RMB 379,800. The E7X is the second vehicle introduced under the AUDI brand and is positioned as a mid-to-large all-electric SUV, with dimensions of 5,049 mm (length) × 1,997 mm (width) × 1,710 mm (height). All E7X variants come standard with an advanced driver-assistance system supplied by Momenta and support Level 3 (L3) autonomous driving capabilities, making it one of the first vehicles in the Chinese market equipped with this level of autonomous functionality. The chassis features a front double-wishbone and rear five-link suspension setup; all trims except the base version are equipped with an all-aluminum chassis. Rear-wheel steering with a 14-degree bidirectional angle is standard across the lineup, while the quattro all-wheel-drive system is reserved for select higher-end trims. In terms of powertrain, the E7X offers multiple variants, all delivering a CLTC-rated range exceeding 600 kilometers, with the Pioneer Smart Long Range variant achieving up to 751 kilometers. The vehicle has successfully completed demanding tests, including a 43-degree hill climb and emergency obstacle avoidance maneuvers in snowy conditions. For comfort and convenience, the E7X is equipped with digital projection headlights, a 21.4-inch high-brightness rear-seat entertainment screen, a 7.2-liter heated and cooled refrigerator, a zero-gravity front passenger seat integrated with Bose audio, seat heating/ventilation/massage functions for all seats, and rear leg rests. The top-tier Flagship quattro variant further adds an intelligent Starlight Panoramic Roof. The E7X is available in five versions: - Pioneer (RMB 289,800) - Advanced (RMB 319,800) - Pioneer quattro (RMB 349,800) - Pioneer Smart Long Range (RMB 349,800) - Flagship quattro (RMB 379,800) These variants differ in drivetrain configuration, suspension, audio systems, lighting features, and driving range.
