2026 Hongqi H5 and HQ9 PHEV Launch on May 20

The 2026 Hongqi H5 and Hongqi HQ9 PHEV will officially launch on May 20. The updated Hongqi H5 features refined exterior details, with the daytime running lights relocated inside the chrome trim on the front fascia and enlarged split headlight clusters at the lower section. At the rear, redesigned taillight accents enhance its three-dimensional appearance. Powertrain options remain unchanged, offering either a 2.0T engine paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission or a 1.5T engine mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. The Hongqi HQ9 PHEV retains the current model’s overall design and is equipped with a plug-in hybrid system combining a 2.0T engine and an electric motor. The engine delivers a maximum output of 120 kW and is paired with a 39.5 kWh battery pack, providing pure-electric driving ranges of 168 km and 173 km, respectively.
