SAIC Motor's MG brand has launched blind pre-orders for its all-new electric SUV, the MG4X, with an official starting price of RMB 99,800. The vehicle is scheduled to officially launch at the end of May. Customers placing blind pre-orders can secure a benefits package worth up to RMB 12,599 by paying a RMB 1,000 deposit. This includes a free RMB 5,000 upgrade on optional features and a RMB 5,000 MG brand trade-in subsidy. Additionally, those who convert their blind pre-order into a firm order on the official launch day will receive an OPPO Watch X3 valued at RMB 2,599 as a bonus gift. The MG4X is offered in two powertrain variants, featuring rear-mounted motors with outputs of 125 kW and 150 kW respectively. They are paired with battery packs of 53.9 kWh and 64.2 kWh, delivering CLTC-rated ranges of 510 km and 610 km. The higher-end variant is equipped with manganese-based lithium-ion semi-solid-state batteries, enhancing both safety and low-temperature performance. In terms of design, the MG4X features a closed front fascia, a full-width LED light bar integrated with the brand logo, smooth side character lines, and a贯穿式 (full-width) rear light cluster, resulting in a compact and cohesive silhouette. The interior adopts an enveloping cockpit layout with a two-tone color scheme—dark upper and light lower sections—and includes a fully digital instrument cluster and a large floating central touchscreen. On the intelligent technology front, the MG4X collaborates with OPPO’s HeyTap Car ecosystem to enable seamless smartphone-to-vehicle connectivity. It also partners with Horizon Robotics to develop an advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS), supporting highway NOA (Navigate on Autopilot) and automatic parking functions. The vehicle measures 4,500 mm in length, 1,849 mm in width, and 1,621 mm (or 1,627 mm) in height, with a wheelbase of 2,735 mm.
