The Yijing X9 has officially entered the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology’s (MIIT) new vehicle announcement catalog and is scheduled to launch in the third quarter of 2026. As the first flagship SUV co-developed by Huawei Qiankun and Dongfeng Motor, it will be offered in both rear-wheel-drive (RWD) and all-wheel-drive (AWD) variants. In terms of dimensions, the RWD version measures 5,301 mm in length, 2,015 mm in width, and 1,820 mm in height, while the AWD version stands slightly lower at 1,805 mm tall. Both variants share a wheelbase of 3,120 mm. The vehicle features a plug-in range-extended hybrid powertrain and is equipped with CATL (Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Limited) battery packs. For intelligent features, all trims come standard with Huawei Qiankun ADS 5 advanced driver-assistance system and dual-path, image-grade 896-line LiDAR, enabling high-level assisted driving across highways, urban roads, and parking scenarios. Additionally, the Yijing X9 is among the first models to feature HarmonySpace 6, Huawei’s latest intelligent cockpit powered by HarmonyOS. The chassis is built on the Chitu platform, which leverages Huawei’s XMC Qiankun Digital Chassis Engine. It employs an all-aluminum structure and has been fine-tuned by a European engineering team. Safety-wise, the body incorporates ultra-high-strength steel rated at 2,400 MPa, while the battery pack underside is protected by triple-layer bullet-resistant armor and includes a dedicated rescue safety redundancy system. Optional configurations include two-tone exterior paint, multiple wheel designs, front and rear combination lighting, B-pillar badges, electric running boards, and ETC (Electronic Toll Collection) devices. The supply chain integrates resources from leading global suppliers such as Bosch, ZF Friedrichshafen, and Michelin. Further details on additional trim levels and specifications will be released soon.
