April China Auto Sales Ranking: BYD Song Tops, Tesla Model Y Second, Multiple Domestic Models in Top 10

Domestic passenger vehicle sales data for April, released on May 11, showed that the BYD Song topped the rankings with sales of 67,351 units, leading the second-place Tesla Model Y by 15,208 units. The Tesla Model Y sold 52,143 units, securing second place. The Chery Tiggo 8 (Explorer 06) and Geely Galaxy Starship ranked third and fourth with sales of 42,978 and 41,938 units, respectively. Three additional BYD models also made it into the top ten: the Yuan UP ranked fifth with 32,602 units sold, the Seagull came in seventh with 27,335 units, and the Dolphin tied with the Xiaomi SU7 at ninth place, each selling 26,826 units. In total, BYD had four models on the list, occupying multiple spots in the rankings.
