The Yijing X9 has been listed in the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology’s (MIIT) new vehicle registration catalog. This model is the first flagship six-seater SUV co-developed by Huawei Qiankun and Dongfeng, scheduled for market launch in the third quarter of 2026. According to the registration data, the vehicle will be offered in both rear-wheel-drive (RWD) and all-wheel-drive (AWD) variants, with dimensions of 5,301 mm (length) × 2,015 mm (width) × 1,820 mm (height for RWD) or 1,805 mm (height for AWD), and a wheelbase of 3,120 mm. Powering the X9 is a plug-in extended-range hybrid system, equipped with CATL (Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Limited) battery packs. Exterior customization options include dual-tone paint schemes, multiple wheel designs, front and rear combination lighting, B-pillar badges, electric running boards, and an integrated ETC (Electronic Toll Collection) device. In terms of intelligent features, all trims come standard with Huawei Qiankun ADS 5 advanced driver-assistance system and dual-path 896-line image-grade LiDAR, enabling high-level assisted driving across highways, urban roads, and parking scenarios. The cabin is powered by HarmonySpace 6, Huawei’s intelligent cockpit platform. The vehicle rides on the Chitu platform, built upon Huawei’s XMC Qiankun digital chassis architecture, featuring an all-aluminum structure fine-tuned by European engineering teams. For safety, the body incorporates 2,400 MPa ultra-high-strength steel, while the battery pack is protected by triple-layer bulletproof armor underneath. The vehicle also integrates a multi-redundant rescue safety system. Global supply chain partners such as Bosch, ZF, and Michelin contribute key components. Additional trim and configuration details will be announced later.
