In August 2023, Dreame announced its entry into the automotive sector, unveiling an ambitious plan to develop the "world's fastest car," benchmarked against the Bugatti Veyron. Recently, the company held its DREAME NEXT launch event in Silicon Valley, showcasing a concept vehicle named the "Nebula NEXT 01 Concept JET Edition" alongside its smart home appliances. The concept car claims to adapt Dreame’s high-speed digital motor technology for automotive-grade electric drive systems and is equipped with solid-fuel rocket boosters, boasting acceleration figures from 0 to 100 km/h that far exceed the physical limits of tire traction. Dreame founder Yu Hao stated that the company has conducted years of automotive design research, internally simulating 100,000 design proposals, and criticized the current homogenization plaguing new energy vehicle designs. Beyond automobiles, Dreame has also expanded into smartphones, hospitality, semiconductors, and satellite technologies, establishing approximately 200 internal business units, each required to secure independent financing and operate autonomously. The company envisions building a premium tech ecosystem spanning “human–vehicle–home–space–universe” and aims to begin mass production of its vehicles by 2027, though it has yet to disclose specific details regarding manufacturing lines or supply chain arrangements. Its business model attempts to blend Huawei’s revenue structure with a light-asset operational approach. Currently, Dreame lacks a core hardware anchor akin to smartphones and does not possess a mature channel synergy system. In the first half of 2025, China’s ultra-luxury car market experienced a significant sales decline. Some observers have drawn parallels between Dreame’s display vehicle at the Beijing Auto Show and Evergrande Auto’s presentation at the Shanghai Auto Show five years earlier.
