The XPeng GX, the brand's flagship SUV, will debut the industry-first EIS battery safety chip. This chip enables real-time monitoring of battery status, doubling the lead time for early warnings of cell defects. It supports charging and discharging safety monitoring, improving low-temperature charging speed by 27% and enhancing SOC (State of Charge) accuracy by 50%. The XPeng GX comes standard across all trims with triple-layer physical battery protection, offering resistance against intrusion, high temperatures, and fire or explosion. Built on XPeng’s new SEPA 3.0 Physical AI architecture, the GX is the company’s first full-size luxury SUV. Positioned as an AI-powered premium six-seater flagship SUV, it integrates technologies such as Robotaxi autonomous driving systems, safety redundancy from flying cars, and embodied intelligent chips and architectures. The XPeng GX opened for pre-orders on April 15, starting at RMB 399,800, and is scheduled to make its official debut in May.
