Seres Automobile Co., Ltd. has recently been granted two patents. The first is a patent for a battery pack detachment device in collision scenarios, falling under the field of electric vehicle component technology. This device employs front and rear support assemblies working in conjunction with an electric actuator. Upon receiving a collision signal, it unlocks the interlocking structure between the front and rear protruding columns on the lower housing of the battery pack and the front rectangular rod and rear support sleeve, enabling rapid separation of the battery pack from the vehicle body. This significantly reduces safety risks such as fire or electrical leakage. The patent application was filed in November 2023 and officially granted on May 8, 2026. The second patent is a utility model for an onboard toilet, comprising a toilet main body and a sliding rail system. The rail system includes a fixed rail and a movable rail connected to the seat. Normally concealed beneath the seat, the toilet can be pulled out when needed and pushed back into place after use, making it suitable for emergency restroom needs during long trips or traffic congestion.
