During an interview program on May 13, Li Xiang, CEO of Li Auto, stated that his company would not proactively lay off employees and advised other companies against making hasty layoffs. He noted that talent standards in the AI era may differ from those of the past, and applying outdated criteria could lead to mistakenly dismissing high-performing employees. Li explained that as the company advances its AI transformation, it will rely on AI-driven evaluations to facilitate a natural process of selection: employees who feel inadequate in their capabilities or lack confidence in the company's future will choose to leave voluntarily.
