The new Land Rover Defender 130 has officially launched in China, offered in three trim levels with an official price range of RMB 909,900 to RMB 1,029,900. Staying true to its rugged off-road heritage, the new Defender 130 features a refreshed front fascia with a retro-inspired square-patterned bonnet panel and Polar Tiger Eye LED daytime running lights. The side profile retains the iconic “Alpine Light” panoramic roof windows, while the rear end showcases a gloss-black center cover, black badging, and smoked square-round LED taillights. Measuring 5,358 mm long, 2,105 mm wide, and 1,970 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 3,022 mm, the Defender 130 delivers impressive off-road geometry: a 37.4° approach angle, 27.9° breakover angle, and 28.8° departure angle, along with a wading depth of up to 900 mm. It also comes equipped with a concealed electric tow hitch rated for a maximum towing capacity of 3.5 tonnes and a surround-view camera system for enhanced maneuverability. Inside, the cabin adopts a 2+2+3 seven-seat layout and features a 13.1-inch high-definition touchscreen running Land Rover’s InControl OS 2.0 infotainment system and e+ connected entertainment platform. Standard amenities include a heated steering wheel, leather upholstery, winged headrests, and a Meridian surround-sound audio system. Additional convenience features include a tilted wireless smartphone charging pad and storage compartments on both sides of the center armrest. Under the hood, the Defender 130 is powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged inline-six engine paired with a full-time all-wheel-drive system, producing 400 horsepower and 550 N·m of peak torque. It also features Land Rover’s second-generation Intelligent All-Terrain Progress Control system, offering eight plus one selectable driving modes.
