The 100,000th MG4 electric vehicle rolled off the production line at SAIC Motor Passenger Vehicle Company’s Nanjing Jiangbei New Area manufacturing base. Last month, the MG4 achieved sales exceeding 13,000 units, marking its seventh consecutive month with monthly sales surpassing 10,000 units. The 2026 MG4 debuted at the Beijing Auto Show, with an official manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) ranging from RMB 68,800 to RMB 102,800 and a limited-time subsidized price of RMB 65,800 to RMB 99,800. The new model retains MG’s signature design language and introduces two new exterior colors: Ice Crystal Blue and Almond Beige. Exterior features include elongated headlights, black lower body cladding, conventional door handles, 17-inch star-spoke aluminum alloy wheels, a rear spoiler, and a full-width LED taillight bar. Inside, the cabin is equipped with an 8.88-inch digital instrument cluster and a 15.6-inch 2.5K central touchscreen. It also integrates Horizon Robotics’ intelligent driving assistance system, upgrades to Sentry Mode, and adds wireless Apple CarPlay functionality. Powertrain options include a standard battery-electric version and a semi-solid-state battery variant. The standard electric version features a motor delivering 120 kW of maximum power and 250 N·m of peak torque, paired with either a 42.8 kWh or 53.9 kWh battery pack, offering CLTC-rated ranges of 437 km and 530 km, respectively. Additionally, the new semi-solid-state “Anxin” edition is now available. All variants come standard with VMC Linear Blowout Control System, which helps reduce the risk of losing control during high-speed tire blowouts.
