Following the conclusion of the 106th Annual General Meeting held on May 13, 2026, Oliver Zipse stepped down as a member of the BMW Group Board of Management as planned, concluding his 35-year career with the company. Originally scheduled to retire in 2023, Zipse’s tenure as Chairman of the Board had been extended at that time, allowing him to remain in office until 2026. Effective May 14, 2026, Milan Nedeljković assumed the role of Chairman of the BMW Group. Nedeljković has been a member of the BMW Group Board of Management since 2019, previously overseeing production. He first joined BMW Group as an apprentice in 1993 and subsequently served as plant manager in Oxford, Leipzig, and Munich. He also held the position of Senior Vice President of Quality. His term as Chairman will run until 2031.
