MIIT Conducts On-site Survey on EV Battery Recycling in Guangdong

From May 12 to 13, 2026, a delegation led by the head of the Department of Energy Conservation and Comprehensive Utilization under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) visited Guangzhou and Shenzhen in Guangdong Province to conduct research on the industry for recycling and utilization of power batteries from new energy vehicles. The delegation held discussions with key enterprises and experts in the field to solicit their opinions and suggestions. This research initiative aims to implement the important instructions given by senior central leadership. Participating institutions included the CCID Consulting Co., Ltd. (China Center for Information Industry Development), China Resources Recycling Group, and the Guangdong Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology.
