Dongfeng Motor has released official images of the Yipai M8, a large six-seater SUV, which will make its official debut this month. The vehicle adopts the brand’s design philosophy of “Simplicity is Ultimate Sophistication,” featuring a full-width daytime running light and split headlights at the front, along with an integrated roof-mounted LiDAR. The body incorporates semi-flush door handles and offers multiple wheel options, while the rear end sports a full-width taillight cluster. The M8 measures 5,020 mm in length, 1,975 mm in width, and 1,733 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,025 mm, and features a six-seat configuration. It will be available in both all-electric and range-extended variants. The range-extended version is powered by an engine with a maximum net output of 90 kW and an electric motor delivering a peak power of 215 kW, offering a CLTC-rated all-electric range of 300 km. The all-electric variant features a motor with a peak power of 230 kW and achieves a CLTC range of 600 km. The Yipai M8 is among the first vehicles to be equipped with Huawei’s Qiankun ADS 5 intelligent driving system.
