On May 14, Mercedes-Benz launched five new variants of the CLE series, priced between RMB 457,600 and RMB 599,800. The new models feature upgraded intelligent driving hardware, including six cameras and five millimeter-wave radars, with the addition of a new stereo front-facing perception camera system. All variants come standard with Level 2 autonomous driving capabilities, supporting features such as full-speed adaptive cruise control, lane centering assist, traffic sign recognition, and assisted lane changing. Powering the CLE is a carryover 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, offered in two output levels: 204 hp and 258 hp, delivering peak torques of 320 N·m and 400 N·m, respectively. Depending on powertrain calibration and body style, the 0–100 km/h acceleration times are available in four variants: 6.3 seconds, 6.6 seconds, 7.5 seconds, and 7.9 seconds. The vehicle is offered in two body styles: a coupe and a soft-top convertible, measuring 4,850/1,861/1,425 mm and 4,850/1,861/1,416 mm (L/W/H) respectively, both sharing a wheelbase of 2,865 mm. The convertible features an acoustically insulated fabric soft top available in three color options. Externally, it retains the current model’s design language, while the interior offers choices of ARTICO synthetic leather, genuine leather, and Nappa leather. A 12.3-inch central display runs the latest third-generation MBUX infotainment system, and higher trims come standard with a Burmester surround sound system.
