Tesla recently modified its usage policy in the FSD v14.3.2 release (part of the 2026.2.9.9 software update), requiring drivers to provide feedback whenever they take over vehicle control. Previously, the feedback prompt would briefly appear on-screen before automatically disappearing; now, the feedback interface remains visible until the user selects a reason from four options—"Personal Preference," "Uncomfortable Experience," "Navigation Issue," or "Critical Issue"—or records a voice note using the microphone button on the steering wheel. The interface has no close button and does not auto-dismiss after a timeout. However, users can quickly close the window by double-pressing the microphone button to submit an empty voice feedback. Tesla did not explicitly mention this change in the official release notes, only adjusting it in supplementary log documentation. This move is widely seen as an effort to collect higher-quality, categorized data for AI training, though some owners have raised concerns that the pop-up appearing immediately upon takeover could be distracting and pose a driving safety risk.
