On May 15, Stellantis Group and Dongfeng Motor Group Co., Ltd. signed a strategic cooperation agreement to deepen their collaboration in the Chinese market. Under the agreement, the two parties will jointly develop and produce new energy vehicles (NEVs) and conventional internal combustion engine models under the Peugeot and Jeep brands through their existing joint venture in China, and export these vehicles to global markets. Stellantis Group was formed in 2021 through the merger of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and Groupe PSA, and is headquartered in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. This partnership aims to integrate both parties’ technological and market resources, enhance brand competitiveness, and align with the global automotive industry’s ongoing transition toward electrification.
